John Largent, 73, passed away on October 13, 2020 in his Saltillo, Texas home. John was born on February 15, 1947 to T.C. “Tex” Largent and Vera (Sherwood) Largent in Dallas, Texas.
He was a former resident of Dallas and had been a resident of Saltillo since 2004.
John was a veteran of the US Marine Corps serving in the Vietnam War. He was an active member of the VFW Post 5398 in Pittsburg and American Legion Post 243 in Mount Vernon. John’s family owned Tejas Well Logging Services, where he worked alongside his father and brother until he retired to East Texas. John’s favorite pastime was riding his Harley with his wife Mary Lou, camaraderie with their friends and supporting our local Veterans.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Largent of Saltillo; children, Allison Carter and husband, Chris of Nashville, Tennessee, and Dami Daniel and husband, Jonathan of Maypearl, Texas and Lonnie Hoskins and wife, Lindsey of Maypearl, Texas; 5 grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Michael Largent of Dallas, Texas; and sister, Elaine Whiteley and husband Kenneth of Dallas, Texas; along with multiple nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services with military honors will be held on Friday, November 06, 2020 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas at 2:15PM.
