Bobby Ray Gray, 80 of Mount Pleasant, passed away July 21, 2020 in Tyler, TX.
Bobby had a special love for his dog Bear and he was a very active man during his time on earth. He loved the great outdoors, golfing, fishing, hunting, scuba diving, he was a private pilot, love farming with his John Deer tractor and in his earlier days, he was on a bowling league, played men's softball and raced motorcycles. He was formerly the president of the Triumph Motorcycle Club.
Bobby spent his professional career as an Aerospace Engineer, retiring from General Electric then he formed his own company, known as BG Aviation, where he subcontracted and sent jet engines to be overhauled for multiple major airlines. He had a passion for farming and continued farming until his passing. His latest project was new deer plots and stocking his 8 acre lake.
Bobby was a very devoted family man, and had a great love for his family. He was born to Harry and Roma Gray, the first child of five children. His siblings are: Carolyn Zachary, Jackie Gray, Debbie Parker and Lanny Gray.
Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Alethea Gray (2016), his first wife, Joyce Gray (2012), and grandson Ronnie Spencer.
He is survived by his children Danny Ray Gray (Spouse-Tracey), Renee Birdwell (Spouse-Gene), Donny Rydell Gray (Spouse-Kim), Devon Crenshaw (Spouse-Willie) and Timothy Ray Ramirez (Spouse-Tiffany). Grandchildren: Sessily Minton, Jessica Sontag, and Sean McEvoy, Brittany Mease, Kirsten Birdwell, Katie Birdwell, Tommy Spencer, Elisha Thompson, Shelby Platter, Kendall Vincent and Hunter Ramirez, 15 great-grandchildren and his faithful dog, Bear. He loved them all unconditionally.
Friends and family are encouraged to gather for a time of visitation on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. at Collvins Memorial Funeral Home. Services celebrating Bobby’s life will follow at 2:30 p.m. The family would love for you to follow them on out to Gray's Timbers for food and fellowship as they continue to celebrate their beloved Dad.
